Does it cost any money ?

Answer – No. ASM sports memorabilia does not charge any fee for running an auction event. All items are supplied on consignment basis . No upfront fees or costs.

How does consignment work ?

Answer – ASM Sports memorabilia is supplied with a set reserve (this is usually at a wholesale price, at least 25% to 30% off retail prices in our store). If the item receives bids over the reserve it is sold and your club/organisation keeps all the profits. E.g. Item priced at $175 in store and supplied with a reserve of $100 and sells for $300, you keep $200 profit and ASM sends you invoice for $100. If the item does not meet the reserve it is returned to ASM without any cost or obligation. Hence you can’t lose as you only pay for the items you make profit on.

What is the different types of auction services offered ?

Live auction = Auctioneer auctions off the items to audience. Usually “bigger ticket/more expensive” items are recommended for these (such as Muhammad Ali signed Boxing Glove or an AFL club team signed & framed jersey). Each item can take 2-5 minutes each to auction but can be very profitable for the club. These are usually recommended when combining the sports memorabilia with a GALA BANQUET AUCTION

Silent auction = Items on trestle tables on a side wall or the entrance to your event. Each item will have it’s own bid sheet and pen provided. The reserve/minimum opening bid will be listed on the bid sheet. Bidders can bid as often as they like on each item. A cut off time (usually 30-45 minutes prior to conclusion of your event) is given and highest bidder at that time wins. Silent auctions do not interfere with your social program and are perfect fundraising solutions for events such as TRIVIA NIGHTS, DINNER DANCE and END OF SEAS ON PRESENTATIONS/AWARDS.

What items are usually offered ?

Answer – ASM sports memorabilia will listen to your club/organisation’s requests and design an individualised auction list to best suit your audience. It can include signed AFL, Soccer, Cricket, Rugby, Tennis, Motor Sports (including V8, F1 and Moto GP), Horseracing, Golf as well as a new range of entertainment (including movies, TV shows, bands/musicians, models and more).

Answer – Yes ! ASM only supplies authentic hand signed sports memorabilia. All of our items come with certificates of authenticity and photo proof of players signing the item.
